Join Teton County Search & Rescue and Backcountry Zero for the 2nd annual Wyoming Backcountry Adventure Workshop (WYBAW) to be held on Saturday, May 20th, 2017.  The event will run from 4:30 - 8:30pm at the Lodge at JH Conference Center on Broadway (across from Sidewinders). The event will include educational workshops taught by locals pros and TCSAR volunteers. Separate courses will be available for hikers, climbers and mountaineers, paddlers and mountain bikers to prepare you for safe summer adventures. Topics include ‘What’s In Your Pack’ (or boat), First Aid, Mapping and Route Finding, Packrafting, Bike Packing and more.

After the educational sessions, attendees will be able to visit with local guides and vendors, enjoy pizza and beer and then reconvene for the keynote presentation at 7pm. This year’s keynote will be ‘Intelligent Mistakes: Why Bad Things Happen to Good People’ by Laurence Gonzales, author of Deep Survival. (A limited number of books are available for free at the Teton County Library on a first come, first serve basis.)

Workshop tickets are $30 and include all sessions, dinner and the keynote presentation. Tickets to the keynote presentation only are available for $25.
